Our food service staff at Gilmont Camp and Conference Center takes pride in preparing and serving fresh, hand- made, and delicious meals that consistently delight our guests. We enjoy cooking balanced meals from our menu of home style foods. It is our sincere desire to make your meals at Gilmont a highlight of your visit. Kim Truitt, our Food Service Director was published in Camping, the American Camp Association Magazine, check it out!
We are happy to accommodate various special diet needs including: gluten and dairy free diets; diabetic; MSG free; vegetarian; and peanut / tree nut allergies. Great care is taken by our staff regarding our guests with food allergies. Our staff ensures that special meals are prepared separately to avoid cross contamination. Please note: Special Diets must be requested two weeks in advance. Upon your visit, at the beginning of your dining hall meals, note the color-coded special diets sign when approaching the serving line, in order to locate your specially prepared diet foods.
We are happy to plan a complete menu for your group and submit it to you for approval. Or if you would prefer to select the meals yourself, you may choose menu options from the Camp Gilmont menu. Simply download and print our menu and mail in with your registration. We ask that you provide us with menu choices no later than two weeks before your visit.
Our standard meal times are: Breakfast – 8:00 am; Lunch – 12:00 pm; Dinner – 6:00 pm. Meal times can be adjusted by fifteen to thirty minutes to fit your group’s needs, with a two week advance notice. Meals are served for 45 minutes. We gladly offer second servings on a fresh plate, and request that you use a fresh bowl for second servings at the salad bar.
Please contact Kimberly Truitt, food service director at (903) 797-6400 with any questions regarding camp menu.
