GGE History

Background:  Dallas ROCK (raising our celiac kids) and a group of committed individuals, including two Girl Scouts working on their Gold Awards in the Dallas area, have worked with Gilmont over the past 8 years to host this special gluten free week.  The leadership team will be changing somewhat in 2013.  This includes the continuation of some of the key team players and the addition of the Gilmont staff at the helm handling registration and more direct coordination of the week’s activities. As an extension of Gilmont’s ministry to serve these special campers, we look forward to providing the same safe, healthy week for the campers.  Many of the staff counselors have already committed to return to continue making this special camp a success.
