Our Ministry

Gilmont has grown and expanded since the 1940’s – from a Presbyterian summer camp destination to much more.  Gilmont is still a ministry of the Presbyterian Church, but its broader scope now encompasses a wider variety of groups.  For example, special-needs campers and their families come to Gilmont for Circle of Friends retreats 3 times per year, various Christian denominations hold retreats and conferences, and Outdoor School engages public schools in meeting their educational goals through residential and day programs.

Helping enrich the lives of others through the camp experience, Gilmont initiated the Programming Partners initiative as part of our ministry.  Gilmont Staff works with groups to meet their organizational goals through planning and programming support.

Our Prayer: Thanking God that Gilmont is a place where fellowship, love and glory to Him abound, we pray that all who come to this place would experience His presence and would leave having been nourished in spirit, mind, and body.
